The workshop gathered leaders of National Institute for Vocational Education and Training (NIVET), GDVET, representatives from World Bank Vietnam, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Vietnam Association for Vocational Training and Social Works, and some vocational training institutions.
The workshop was led by Dr. Vu Xuan Hung, NIVET's Director and Ms. Wendy Cunningham, representatives from WB Vietnam. The main focus of the workshop was to gather VET insiders, experts, businessmen to discuss the solutions for autonomy implementation for VET institutions.
In the opening speech, Dr. Hung, NIVET's Director, gave an overview of legal framework and results gained from cooperation with enterprises in VET sector. The speech also included relevant policies for VET-enterprise linkage and initiate some solutions for a stronger connection.

Talking about autonomy pathway for VET institutions, Mrs. Khuong Thi Nhan, a representative from Project Management Unit of Target Program (GDVET) delivered an insightful presentation on autonomous mechanism that VET institutions should apply.

The workshop also gathered many productive comments and opinions as well as ways to overcome difficulties in applying the pilot program of financial autonomous mechanism and cooperation with enterprises in VET sector.
To sum up the working session, Dr. Hung did appreciate all the comments from all representatives and highlight the results attained from the discussion as well as the cooperative role of NIVET in organizing the workshop.
