Scientific Workshops

Hanoi - October 25th 2017, under the framework of the research mission "Skills and information of the labor market" conducted by working team from World Bank (WB Vietnam), General Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (GDVET) has cooperated with the working team to launch the workshop "Autonomy and cooperation with enterprises in VET sector". The objectives of the workshop is to share the gain results, experiences and solutions for further cooperation in the coming time.

Hanoi – On March 28th, 2017, Workshop “Finalization of TVET Report Vietnam 2015 and Preparation of TVET Report 2016” has been started in Hanoi Club Hotel which gathered all relevant stakeholders from National Institute for Vocational Training (NIVT), Program Reform TVET in Vietnam (GIZ), German Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB) along with experts from Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), and University of Education – Vietnam National University.

Hanoi - Within the chain of APEC events in Vietnam in 2017, NIVT organize the workshop “Skills, Education and Training in Digitalized Economy” on March 22nd 2017.

Hanoi - As part of the collaboration project to ensure the successful implementation of the National Qualification Framework (NQF) in Vietnam with focus on learning outcomes development for selected occupations and sectors, British Council together with Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) and General Directorate of Vocational Training (GDVT) co-organized a policy dialogue "Vietnam Qualification Framework Development and Implementation" on early February 24th 2017.

Under the action plan in 2015 and cooperation framework between GDVT and Asia Development bank (ADB), GDVT and ADB co-hosted a workshop “TVET in ASEAN integration context – opportunities and challenges” to identify the advantages and disadvantages, as well as opportunities and challenges in TVET in such conditions. From that, solutions to overcome these challenges would be drawn for Vietnam to enter integration process with ASEAN nations in TVET sector.

The Central Committee of Propaganda of the Communist Party cooperated with Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs (MoLISA) and Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) to organize a workshop on “Reform of the training of manpower for industrial and economic zones of Viet Nam” in Ho Chi Minh City on 26th of May 2016.

HANOI: On January 13th – 14th 2016, a 2-day workshop “Occupational standards/ learning outcomes: - lessons learnt and pathways for Vietnam TVET was co-organized by GIZ and GDVT. In this chance, NIVT had joined the workshop and had a presentation to share the ideas with all participants.

Workshop “Conceptualization of rationales for upgrading NIVT” held by Department of Organization and Personnel – GDVT in cooperation with GIZ and NIVT get started on May 31st 2016 in Hanoi.

Scientific workshop “Comprehensive solutions to enhance the quality of vocational training in order to meet the demand of the labor market and international integration” held by Ministry of Labors – Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA) was organized in the afternoon of June 24th 2016 at International Convention Center in Hanoi.

Under the framework of Vocational Education and Training Qualifications and Benchmarking Development Project under the Government Partnership for Development (GPFD) funded by Australian government with tripartite Australia – Vietnam – Philippines, GDVT collaborated with Australian Embassy in Vietnam to hold “Publication workshop on occupational standards” in Hanoi.
